This role forms part of the housekeeping team at The Bay Hotel, within the Village n Life hospitality group.
The Role
As a Housekeeping Supervisor you’ll lead the housekeeping team to ensure rooms, public areas and facilities are kept spotless and up to Village n Life standards. You’ll oversee daily cleaning, stock control, maintenance reporting and guest requests, while managing staff schedules and quality checks.
Key Responsibilities
– Supervise daily cleaning of guest rooms, kitchens, lounges and public areas
– Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are met in all areas
– Manage and replenish linen, amenities and cleaning supplies
– Maintain service cupboards, storerooms and stock control
– Record and report maintenance issues and follow up on repairs
– Oversee care of gardens and plants where applicable
– Ensure properties are guest-ready at all times and comply with health and safety standards
– Manage rosters, adapt to occupancy levels and provide support as needed
– Handle guest complaints and requests professionally
– Support reception with check-ins, check-outs and admin when required
– Upsell hotel outlets, Mint Wellness and group services
What We’re Looking For
– Grade 12 or equivalent
– Previous experience in a similar role
– Familiarity with housekeeping duties and standards
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Dependable, adaptable and guest-focused
– Team player with leadership ability and high integrity
